Letter from the Director | April 2026
April is recognized as the National Month of Hope—and at Hope Healthcare Services, that word carries deep meaning.
Hope is more than part of our name. It is what we see every day in our patients, our staff, our volunteers, and our community. It’s the belief that no matter where someone finds themselves—without insurance, facing uncertainty, or navigating a difficult season—there is still a path forward. There is still hope.
This month is a special opportunity to reflect on that truth and to celebrate the many ways hope is alive and active right here in our community.
It is also an especially exciting time at Hope Healthcare Services.
Over the past several weeks, we have been working through some important updates and improvements that will strengthen how we care for our patients. We recently implemented a new electronic health record system, which is positioning us to better coordinate care, improve efficiency, and support our continued growth. Alongside that, we are preparing to launch a new patient portal—giving patients easier access to their information and helping them stay more connected and engaged in their care.
We are also incredibly encouraged by the addition of new providers who are stepping in to serve. Each new provider expands our capacity and allows us to reach more individuals and families who have been waiting for care. At the same time, we are continuing to develop and implement new programs designed to meet real needs in our community—especially for those navigating chronic conditions, financial challenges, and gaps in coverage.
All of this represents growth—but more importantly, it represents opportunity.
Opportunity to serve more people.
Opportunity to remove barriers.
Opportunity to bring hope, help, and healing to those who need it most.
None of this happens alone. It happens because of a community that cares—because of partners, donors, volunteers, and advocates who believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate, affordable healthcare.
As we move through this Month of Hope, I simply want to say thank you. Thank you for being part of this mission. Thank you for helping make hope real for so many.
And if you are reading this and find yourself in a place of uncertainty, please know this—you are not alone. There is a place for you here.
With gratitude,
Cliff Sweazey
