Celebrating 20 Years of Hope, Help, and Healing
This June marks a truly extraordinary milestone in the life of our ministry: Hope Healthcare Services turns 20 years old. It’s humbling to reflect on all that God has done in and through this clinic since our doors first opened in June 2005.
What began as a ministry of Kingsway Christian Church—staffed entirely by volunteers and fueled by prayer and compassion—has grown into a vital healthcare resource for the uninsured across Hendricks County and beyond. Over the last two decades, thousands of patients have walked through our doors seeking help. And by God’s grace, they’ve found more than just medical care—they’ve found hope.
In 20 years, Hope has provided more than 20,000 patient visits, expanded services to include medical, dental, and mental healthcare, and built partnerships across the county with churches, nonprofits, health systems, and volunteers. Yet even with all this growth, one thing has never changed: our mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus by ministering to the physical and spiritual health burdens of the uninsured.
I often tell people, “There are no wrong connections at Hope.” Whether you’re a patient, a provider, a prayer partner, or a donor—you are a part of this story. And it is your prayers, your service, and your generosity that have carried this ministry forward for two decades.
As we celebrate this 20-year anniversary, I invite you to pause with me and give thanks. Give thanks for the volunteers who have shown up week after week. Give thanks for the faithful supporters who’ve invested in this mission year after year. And above all, give thanks to the One who has sustained us through every challenge and opened every door along the way.
But this isn’t just a moment to look back—it’s a call to look ahead. The need is greater than ever. The ALICE population continues to grow. More families are struggling to afford even basic healthcare. That’s why we’re not slowing down. In fact, we’re pressing forward—expanding services, growing partnerships, and finding new ways to bring hope, help, and healing to those who need it most.
Thank you for being part of this 20-year legacy. Let’s celebrate what God has done—and commit together to what He will do in the years ahead.
With gratitude and hope,
Cliff Sweazey, Executive Director
