Part-Time HYGIENIST (2–3 Days per Week)

Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our growing team on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week). The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing excellent preventive care, enjoys working collaboratively in a supportive team environment, and wants to make a lasting impact in our community.

We are currently rebuilding our dental program and looking for someone who would like to be part of building something special for the community.
At Hope, you’ll provide high-quality preventive and therapeutic care to patients who might otherwise go without it—helping restore confidence, comfort, and health while promoting lifelong oral wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, periodontal scaling, root planing, and oral health education.
Take and develop dental X-rays; ensure diagnostic images meet clinical standards.
Assist the dentist in identifying and charting dental conditions.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic health system.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive strategies tailored to their needs.
Maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment.
Collaborate closely with dental assistants, dentists, and volunteers to provide comprehensive patient care.
Uphold Hope Healthcare Services’ mission and values in all patient interactions.
Qualifications
Active Indiana Dental Hygienist License in good standing.
Current X-ray certification (required).
Current CPR certification.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Experience in a community or nonprofit clinic preferred, but not required.
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule: 2–3 days per week (flexible scheduling available).
Compensation: Competitive hourly or daily rate, commensurate with experience. (Position may be structured as 1099 or W-2.)
