Letter from the Director | May 2026

Dear Friends of Hope,

Each May, Indiana turns its attention to one of the greatest traditions in sports, the Indianapolis 500. The speed, the energy, the history, and the excitement draw people from across the country and around the world. It is truly one of the great highlights of living in Indiana.

But as impressive as the race is, what always stands out to me is that no driver wins alone.

Behind every car is a team. There are mechanics, engineers, pit crews, strategists, sponsors, support staff, and countless people working together toward one goal. The driver may cross the finish line, but the victory belongs to the whole team.

That is such a powerful picture of Hope Healthcare Services.

Every patient visit, every prayer shared, every dental appointment, every counseling session, every medication refill, every referral, and every moment of care happens because a team of people chooses to serve. Our volunteers, staff, providers, donors, community partners, churches, businesses, and friends all play a part in this mission.

At Hope, no one crosses the finish line alone.

For our patients, the finish line may look like finally seeing a provider after going without care. It may look like getting relief from dental pain, finding support through counseling, managing diabetes more effectively, or simply being treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

And for many, that care is possible because people like you are part of the team.

As we move through this month, I am reminded again that Hope is not built on one person or one program. It is built on a community of people working together to bring hope, help, and healing to those without insurance.

Thank you for being part of the team. Thank you for believing that everyone deserves access to compassionate, affordable healthcare. And thank you for helping Hope continue moving forward, one life at a time.

With gratitude,

Cliff Sweazey
