My hope is that this format makes it easy to scan, easy to share, and easy to see the difference you’re helping make in our community. And speaking of new beginnings, January has a way of stirring something in all of us. A fresh page. A clean calendar. New goals and plans that feel possible again. And I love that—because God has designed us for growth, for renewal, and for hopeful new beginnings.
But if we’re honest, the hardest part isn’t setting a goal—it’s staying with it when life gets busy, motivation fades, or we miss the mark on a tough day.
There’s actually a day people talk about every year called “Quitter’s Day”—the second Friday in January, when many people tend to give up on their New Year’s resolutions. In 2026, that fell on Friday, January 9. Read More |

| Cancer turned a family’s world upside down. Then, while his wife was in treatment, her husband injured his back and was suddenly unable to work. Bills and stress piled up, and they felt like they had nowhere to turn—until someone told them about Hope Healthcare. They’re not through the storm yet, but because of Hope, they have something more: a new outlook—and a new hope. |

It Is Finally Here! Dental Appointments Are Now Open |
We’ve been looking forward to sharing this news—and it is finally here! Hope Healthcare Services’ dental program is now live, and we are accepting appointments right away. We’re incredibly excited to welcome our new dental team, who are already on-site and seeing patients. This is a major step forward for Hope and for the neighbors we serve who don’t have insurance. |

Oral health isn’t a “nice-to-have.” It affects your whole body—pain, infection, nutrition, sleep, mental well-being, and even chronic health conditions. That’s why this expansion matters so much.
In cooperation with the Hendricks County Health Department, this program is bigger and better than ever—designed to meet the growing needs in our community and increase access to quality dental care for people who otherwise may have nowhere to turn. Appointments are available now. If you or someone you know is without insurance and needs dental care, call today to schedule at 317-272-0708. Please help us spread the word—because for many of our uninsured neighbors, this is the answer they’ve been waiting for. |

Mental Health Needs Rising in Hendricks County as Access Remains Out of Reach for Many Uninsured Residents |
Recent community health assessments from Hendricks Regional Health, IU Health West, and the Hendricks County Community Foundation reveal a consistent and concerning message: mental health needs in Hendricks County are growing, while access to care remains limited—especially for people without insurance. According to the Hendricks County Community Foundation’s most recent Community Needs Assessment, |
more than 4 in 10 residents (41%) identified limited access to healthcare, mental health, and wellness services as a community concern. While the survey groups healthcare and mental health together, hospital-led assessments further clarify that behavioral health—including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use—is one of the most pressing unmet needs in the region.
The IU Health West Community Health Needs Assessment formally identified behavioral health as a priority community health issue, citing shortages of mental health providers and ongoing barriers to care. Similarly, the Hendricks Regional Health Community Health Needs Assessment highlights rising mental health needs, particularly among children and adolescents, and increasing strain on families and support systems.
These concerns are compounded by workforce shortages. Hendricks County currently has approximately one mental health provider for every 770 residents, a ratio that falls below state and national benchmarks and makes timely access to care difficult even for those with insurance. Read More |

How to Schedule an Appointment |
If you or someone you know is without insurance and needs access to low-cost medical, dental, or mental health care services, please call Hope Healthcare Services at 317-272-0708 to schedule an appointment. All services are by appointment only (no walk-ins), and days and hours may vary based on provider availability. |

We’re Still Seeking a Dental Hygienist
We are thrilled that Hopes’ dental program is now live—and we’re grateful to have our new dentist on board and already seeing patients. To keep this momentum going and expand the number of patients we can serve, we still need a Dental Hygienist. This is a paid position for 1–3 days per week. |

Nursing & Medical Assistant Volunteers Needed |
Hope Healthcare Services is looking for RNs, Medical Assistants, nursing students, and MA students to help serve during our day and evening clinics.
If you’re currently an RN or Medical Assistant, this is a meaningful way to give back to our community and support neighbors who don’t have insurance.
If you’re a student, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a clinic setting—supporting patient intake, vitals, room turnover, and other care team needs. It may also be a fit for internship, clinical rotation, or service-learning hours, depending on your program requirements.

We’re grateful to welcome Crossroads Church as Hope Healthcare Services’ newest Faith Community Partner. Crossroads has been serving Hendricks County and the westside community for more than 25 years, and their heart has always been to see hope rise and lives changed through Jesus. Their mission is simple and powerful: bringing people into full life in Christ. They often say they’re committed to making a difference “across the street and across the globe”—and that posture of service and mission is exactly why this partnership fits so naturally. You can see that local commitment in the way they encourage their church family to show up and serve right here in our county.
Because Crossroads has chosen to come alongside Hope, more neighbors without insurance will be able to receive compassionate, affordable medical, dental, and mental health care—bringing hope, help, and healing to our community.
To the Crossroads family: thank you for believing in this mission and for investing in the health of our community. We’re honored to partner with you—and excited for what God will do through this relationship in the year ahead.

Do You Have an Event We Should Know About? |
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of new beginnings and for Your faithfulness that never runs out. As we step into this new year, give us strength for the days we feel confident and grace for the days we fall short. Help us to begin again—today and every day—with hearts that trust You. |
| |
Lord, we lift up our patients and families who are walking through heavy seasons—those facing illness, pain, uncertainty, or financial strain. Surround them with Your peace, provide for their needs, and remind them they are not alone. Bring healing where bodies hurt, comfort where hearts are weary, and hope where circumstances feel overwhelming.
Bless Hope Healthcare Services—our staff, volunteers, providers, and partners. Unite us in one shared mission as we serve our community with compassion, dignity, and excellence. Open doors for the right people to join this work, and supply everything needed to bring hope, help, and healing to our neighbors. We place this year in Your hands, confident that You are always at work.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. |
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” - Lamentations 3:22–23 |
