Patient Spotlight
From Hopelessness to Hope
A gentleman recently shared that before coming to Hope, his situation felt hopeless. After losing his job, he also lost his insurance. Without insurance, he could no longer see his doctor or afford the prescription he needed to manage his chronic high blood pressure. As a result, his blood pressure continued to rise, and his health became an increasing concern.
At Hope, he found a path forward. With support from our chronic care management program, he has been able to see a specialist again, receive a new prescription, and begin getting his blood pressure under control.
New Free Mental Wellness Resource
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it is a great reminder that caring for our mental and emotional well-being is an important part of overall health. Hope Healthcare Services is excited to help share a new free mental wellness resource made available through our partnership with the Hendricks County Health Department.
CredibleMind offers confidential, 24/7 access to expert-rated videos, podcasts, apps, articles, assessments and other tools designed to support emotional well-being, stress, anxiety, sleep, resilience and more. This resource is another meaningful way individuals and families can find trusted support as they care for their overall health.

When You Give, Hope Grows - Our Spring Appeal
Fundraising is essential to how we continue providing affordable medical, dental and mental health care to individuals and families without insurance.
At the same time, we never want our communication to feel like we are only asking for support. Most months, our goal is to share updates, celebrate partners, highlight community impact and show how hope, help and healing are happening through this mission.
That is why we typically focus our fundraising appeals around three key moments each year: our Spring Appeal, our annual Stories of Hope Dinner & Auction in the fall and our End-of-Year Appeal. These moments allow us to share the need, invite others into the mission and help fund the programs and services that make care possible for our patients.
This month, we are launching our Spring Appeal by sharing the story of a patient who lost her health coverage after being laid off, discovered a serious health concern and did not know where to turn. When she called Hope, someone answered, listened, prayed and helped connect her to the care and support she needed.
Her story is a powerful reminder that generosity makes it possible for someone facing fear and uncertainty to know they are not alone. Read the full story here.
Career Opportunities
Hope is seeking a mission-driven Medical Assistant / Clinical Services Assistant to join our team in Avon. This is more than a traditional MA role. It is a unique, mission-focused opportunity that blends clinical support, front office coordination, EHR management and creating a welcoming experience for patients, volunteers and providers alike.
If you are a medical assistant or know someone with a heart for serving others, we’d love to hear from you. Your skills can make an immediate difference for individuals without insurance who have been waiting far too long for care. Please help us spread the word.

Although Hope Healthcare Services works with Sheltering Wings on a regular basis, it was such a blessing to hear more about their heart for the mission, their vision for the future and the incredible impact they are making.
It was a beautiful evening with an amazing organization, and Hope is grateful to partner with them in serving our community.

This month, we highlight: Rushmore Hartzell

A Letter From the Director
Each May, Indiana turns its attention to one of the greatest traditions in sports, the Indianapolis 500. The speed, the energy, the history and the excitement draw people from across the country and around the world. It is truly one of the great highlights of living in Indiana.
But as impressive as the race is, what always stands out to me is that no driver wins alone.
Prayer of Hope
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of a new season. As spring brings signs of growth, renewal and fresh life around us, remind us that You are always at work, even in seasons of waiting.
Lord, we lift up every patient, volunteer, provider, staff member, donor and partner connected to Hope Healthcare Services.
For those carrying heavy burdens, bring comfort. For those facing uncertainty, bring peace. For those who feel weary, renew their strength. For those searching for help, guide their steps and remind them they are not alone.
As we continue serving individuals and families without insurance, help us to see each person with compassion, dignity and love. Open our eyes to the needs around us, strengthen our hands for the work before us and give us hearts that reflect Your kindness in every conversation, appointment, prayer and act of service.
May this season remind us that small seeds of hope can grow into lasting impact. Use Hope Healthcare Services to bring healing, encouragement and support to those who need it most.
Guide our work, bless our community and help us continue bringing hope, help and healing in Your name.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. - Isaiah 58:11
