A Letter From the Director |
September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and it is a reminder of something that applies far beyond any single month: sometimes one of the most important things we can do for another person is simply show up. Show up and listen.
Ask the second question when “I’m fine” doesn’t quite sound fine. Read More

| When I came to Hope, I was struggling both physically and mentally. Years of stress had caught up with me, and I was dealing with panic attacks and suicidal thoughts. I was frightened, overwhelmed, and did not know where to turn.
At Hope, someone listened, prayed with me, and helped connect me with both medical care and counseling. Little by little, things began to change. My panic attacks and suicidal thoughts came under control, I returned to church, and I began reconnecting with life again. I still had healing to do, but I no longer felt like I was facing it alone. |

How Much Social Support Is in Your Life? |
Take 5 minutes to check in on your connections.
September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and one of the most powerful ways we can support mental health is through connection. |
| |
Having people we can turn to, talk with, and rely on matters. Strong relationships and supportive connections can help us navigate difficult seasons and remind us that we do not have to face life's challenges alone.
CredibleMind's free “How Much Social Support Is in Your Life?” assessment takes about five minutes and can help you think about the support system around you and where stronger connections might make a difference.
Sometimes showing up for someone else matters. Sometimes allowing someone else to show up for us matters just as much. Take the free assessment |

Chronic Care Is Growing at Hope |
| Managing a chronic condition like diabetes or high blood pressure takes more than an occasional doctor visit. It requires ongoing monitoring, education, medication support, follow-up, and access to the right resources.
Hope continues to strengthen our chronic care services for uninsured patients. Along with expanding our Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) program, patients now have access to nutrition support and diabetes education to help them better understand and manage their health. |
We also provide regular primary care follow-up, blood pressure and glucose monitoring, help accessing affordable medications, lab work and imaging, and connections to specialty care when needed.
Our goal is simple: give patients the tools, education, and ongoing support they need to manage chronic conditions before they become a crisis. Call Hope Healthcare Services today at 317-272-0708 to book your appointment. |

How to Schedule an Appointment |
If you or someone you know is without insurance and needs access to low-cost medical, dental, or mental health care services, please call Hope Healthcare Services at 317-272-0708 to schedule an appointment. All services are by appointment only (no walk-ins), and days and hours may vary based on provider availability. |

Hope is expanding our volunteer team, and this month we are especially looking for people who can serve in four important areas: Bilingual Translators
Help reduce language barriers by assisting patients and families with communication during visits and helping them better understand how to access Hope’s services and resources. Nurses for Patient Follow-Up Calls Licensed nurses can help us stay connected with patients between visits by assisting with follow-up calls, reinforcing care instructions, checking on progress, and helping identify when additional follow-up may be needed.
Community Outreach Ambassadors Represent Hope at churches, health fairs, community events, wellness events, and partner gatherings. Volunteers help share who Hope is, what services are available, who we serve, and how individuals and families can connect with the clinic. No medical background is required. Food Pantry Outreach & Resource Distribution Volunteers
Serve alongside local food pantry partners while helping place Hope information directly into the hands of people who may need care. Volunteers may assist with food distribution, share Hope materials, restock brochures and referral cards, and help connect neighbors without insurance with affordable healthcare and other support. Whether your gifts are clinical, bilingual, relational, or simply centered around serving others, there is a place for you at Hope. |

Faith Partner Spotlight: Plainfield Christian Church |
What does it mean to be a truly engaged Faith Partner? Plainfield Christian Church is a wonderful example.
Their partnership with Hope goes far beyond financial support. They have welcomed us to share Hope’s mission with their congregation, highlighted us at their recent Lead Conference and Serve Expo, provided space for information tables in the lobby, and helped distribute resources so people who need our services know where to turn.
Most recently, they invited Hope onto the platform during all four weekend services, giving us the opportunity to share the story and message of Hope directly with their congregation. Opportunities like that help us reach people who may need care, connect with new volunteers and providers, and remind the community that no one without insurance has to navigate healthcare alone.
They are also helping connect members of their congregation who want to serve by forming small groups focused on medical missions, creating another pathway for people to use their gifts in service to others. This is what partnership looks like to us. It is not simply supporting a mission from a distance. It is opening doors, connecting people, sharing resources, volunteering, giving, praying, and serving together. We are incredibly grateful for Plainfield Christian Church and the many ways they continue helping us bring hope, help, and healing to our community. Want to learn more about Plainfield Christian Church? Visit PlainfieldChristian.com.
And if your church or small group would like to learn how to become a Faith Community Partner with Hope, we’d love to connect. Please reach out to Cliff Sweazey at ces@myhopehealth.org or 317-272-0708. |
Community Partner Spotlight: Avon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery |
From the beginning, Avon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has stepped up to support Hope and our patients, especially when someone needs a procedure or level of care beyond what we can provide in our own clinic. As Hope has grown, so has their continued support.
Serving the community since 1976, Avon Oral has built a strong reputation for excellent care. But what stands out to us most is the heart of their doctors and staff. Their commitment to serving others, including patients who may otherwise struggle to access the care they need, comes through in the way they serve. We believe that heart is part of why Avon Oral is not only so successful and well respected, but also so loved throughout our community. On behalf of Hope’s staff, volunteers, providers, and especially our patients, thank you to the entire Avon Oral team for walking alongside us and for the important part you play in bringing hope, help, and healing to our community.

Our lobby has a brand-new look thanks to the incredible team at IU Health!
Their team recently spent time with us at Hope Healthcare Services, transforming our blue lobby into a fresh, modern, welcoming space. They also put together dental hygiene kits for our patients, which have been a huge hit and are greatly appreciated.
We are so grateful for the partnership and support of IU Health. We appreciate not only what they continue to do for Hope, but also the many ways they invest their time, resources, and people throughout our community. Thank you for helping make Hope a little brighter and for all you do for the neighbors we serve! |

How long have you been at Hope? June 2026 Hobbies: I love and enjoy spending time with my husband. I also love to travel and read.

Do You Have an Event We Should Know About? |
If you are hosting an event that would benefit the community—or if you’re a local organization with something others should know about—we’d love for you to submit it for consideration. To view the calendar or submit an event: Community Calendar | Hope Healthcare Services
Together, we can continue building a stronger, more connected community—bringing hope, help, and healing beyond the walls of the clinic. |

Heavenly Father,
This month, as we recognize Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, we lift up every person who may be carrying pain, fear, loneliness, or hopelessness that others cannot see. Remind them that they are not alone. Surround them with people who will notice, listen, stay present, and help them find the support and care they need. |
| |
Give courage to those who are struggling to speak honestly about what they are feeling. Give wisdom and compassion to families, friends, counselors, pastors, healthcare providers, and others who may be walking beside someone through a difficult season.
Lord, help us be a community that pays attention, reaches out, and creates space for honest conversations. May our words bring encouragement, our actions reflect Your love, and our presence remind others that their lives have value and purpose.
For those who feel overwhelmed today, bring comfort. For those who feel alone, bring connection. For those who cannot see a way forward, bring light, hope, and the strength to take one more step. Use each of us to be a source of care, compassion, and hope to the people around us. In Jesus’ name, Amen. |
